Step 2: Gather Your Project Information

Before starting the BASIX assessment, assemble the following documentation: site plan showing orientation and boundaries, floor plans with room dimensions, elevations showing window sizes and positions, specification of proposed building materials (insulation, glazing, wall construction), fixture and appliance selections (hot water system, heating and cooling, lighting, WELS-rated fixtures), and landscape plans.
